Bonnie Kathleen Wright was born on February 17, 1991. She is an English actress, best known for her role in the "Harry Potter" films as Ginny Weasley.
Bonnie Wright was born in London to Sheila Teague and Gary Wright, two jewellery designers who together run their own company, Wright & Teague. She has an older brother named Lewis. Wright attends The King Alfred School in London, England.
This girl enjoys art, dance, travelling, and playing musical instruments like the saxophone, harmonica, piano, guitar and recorder, as well as sports such as tennis, swimming, football, riding, ice skating, surfing and cycling.
Wright was originally cast as Ginny Weasley for a small scene in the first film, "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" (2001), set at King's Cross Station. Her role became more prominent with the second movie, "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" (2002), in which her character begins studies at Hogwarts while dealing with a very powerful secret diary that begins to seize her soul and consciousness. Wright's role in the third film, "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" (2004), was significantly smaller, leaving her with only one line of dialogue. But, the character became a more important supporting character in the fourth and fifth films, "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" and "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix". Wright is currently set to reprise her role in the next film, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince", where her character plays a leading role as Potter's love interest. This baby is friends with fellow actress Gillian Maguire. On the "Harry Potter" set Bonnie became very good friends with co-stars Katie Leung who plays Cho Chang, Evanna Lynch who plays Luna Lovegood, and Afshan Azad, who plays Padma Patil in the Harry Potter movies.
Wright has also starred in two television movies: 2002's "Stranded" and 2004's "Agatha Christie: A Life in Pictures" playing the younger version of Agatha Christie.
